About imported teak
Teak grown in Africa and shipped to India. Good colour and strength, priced between plantation and forest teak. Make sure it is true teak.

Before you buy
- Real teak (sagwan) is Tectona grandis. “African teak” is also used for Iroko, a different wood, so get the species written on the bill.
- A country name like Ghana or Tanzania tells you where the wood came from, not its grade. Judge the heartwood, usable size, defects and moisture.
- Time on a ship is not seasoning. Ask for current moisture readings before the wood is machined.

Questions about this window
How is the window price worked out?
By the size of the window: height × width in feet gives the square feet (rounded up to a whole sq ft), times the price per sq ft of the wood section you choose. A 4 × 3 ft window is 12 sq ft.
What does "3 × 1.5 inch section" mean?
It is the size of the wood the window frame is made from, not the size of the window. A bigger section is sturdier and suits a larger window.
Which wood do you use for windows?
Plantation, imported and forest teak, in glass or jaali (mesh) windows; our window frame kits are teak. Ask us if you want to discuss another wood for your project.
Which styles can I choose?
Casement, paired or with a top transom. Also tell us if you want glass, jaali (mesh) or both, and a ventilator above, because these change how the window is made.
Is fitting included?
Yes, fitting is free for our windows and doors. Window frame fitting is available on request for a small charge.
My window opening is not a standard size. What should I do?
Send the height and width with units and a photo on WhatsApp. We can discuss a custom size.
Are imported teak and African teak the same?
No. Imported teak can come from several regions. “African teak” is a loose trade name, so check whether the wood is Tectona grandis or another species.
Will my window look exactly like the photo?
Photos show the design and the type of wood. Every piece of wood has its own grain and colour, so yours will not be an exact copy. Ask us for current photos and confirm the design, wood and polish before ordering.
