About the teak in our window frames
Before you buy
- Real teak is Tectona grandis. People choose it for its looks, because it moves relatively little with the weather, and because its heartwood is naturally durable.
- Plantation, imported and forest teak can be the same species. The name does not promise a grade.
- Ask for the name of the wood and where it comes from, in writing, and see the actual wood if you can.

Standard or premium: what is the difference?
The premium kit is the same complete kit in a better grade of teak. The standard kit is ₹6,500 and the premium kit ₹9,200.
Will it fit my window opening?
Tell us the height and width of the opening, with units, and we confirm the fit before you order.
Do you fit window frames?
On request, for a small charge. Usually your construction workers fix the frame. Fitting is free for our windows and doors.
Is a window included?
No. The kit is the window frame. For a glazed window, see our plantation teak window. Say clearly which one you need when you enquire.
