A good enquiry is short. Send the item, size, quantity, single or double, wood, a design photo, site location and timeline, and we can give you a clear answer.

In short
- Say what you need: door, chaukhat, window, window frame, or a mix.
- For each opening: height × width with units, quantity, and single or double.
- Add the wood, a design photo, and polished or unpolished.
- Add the site location, the floor, and when the site will be ready.
- Not sure about something? Say so. We can advise, or visit the site.
You do not need a finished plan to contact us. A short, clear message is enough to start. The more of the details below you include, the fewer back-and-forth messages it takes to get a correct price.
What to include
- What you need: door, chaukhat, window, window frame, or a combination.
- Size of each opening: height × width, in feet and inches. Say what you measured: the wall opening, an old chaukhat or the old door.
- Quantity: how many of each size.
- Single or double door, and whether you also want a jali door.
- Wood: plantation teak, forest teak or imported teak for doors; Kapoor sal, Malaysian sal or desi sal for chaukhats. Or write "help me choose".
- Design: a screenshot from our shop page, or a photo of a door you like.
- Finish: polished or unpolished.
- Site location: the area and city, and which floor.
- Timeline: when the chaukhats and doors are needed at site.
Photos of the site help a lot: one close-up of each opening and one wider photo of the wall or room.
A sample message
Keep each opening on its own line
When different doors are mixed up in one sentence, details get lost. Write one line per opening, or per size. If two doors are exactly the same, write the size once and the quantity next to it. Builders and thekedars ordering for several houses can send one list per site.
If you are not sure about something
Say what is still undecided, for example "not sure between single and double" or "need help with the wood". If you are unsure what your measurement means, ask your mistri to confirm the door size, or ask us for a site visit. You can also come to our workshop at 500/143, Kutubpur, Daliganj, Lucknow to see the wood. Please call ahead to plan your visit.
Questions worth asking before you order
- What exactly is included: chaukhat, hardware, polish?
- What is the total with delivery?
- When will it be delivered?
- Who will do the fitting, and when?
For reference: fitting is free for NordWood doors and windows, and chaukhat and window frame fitting is available on request for a small charge. We deliver in our own vehicle between 9 am and 7 pm, with unloading and carrying to upper floors included. At least 50% of the order amount is paid before dispatch. Website photos are design references and natural wood grain and colour vary, so ask for current photos if you need them.

Yes. Send what you have, with photos, and say the sizes are rough. Get the final sizes confirmed by your mistri before ordering, or ask us about a site visit.
